My Babies are growing up!

Here are the latest school photos from this year 2010. Sadie is 9 and Sam will be 8 in a week or two.
Aren't they Sweet? BTW, Sam wanted to dress in a suit. We cautioned him that he might get teased, he did not care, he wanted to look nice.

200,000 Miles!!!

We made it. 200,000 miles and counting. My Nissan Altima has been very good to me. Not many repairs, mostly just the usual stuff: brakes, tires, battery, alternator, stuff like that. I decided it's time to give her a name....Phidippides. (The Greek Marathon Runner) Well that's kinda long and hard to say so how bout Phidip. Ya, I like the sound of that. In these economic times it's nice to not have a car payment and have a reliable set of wheels that gets you from A to B. I'm so proud of my baby. To infinity and beyond! Well maybe I'd settle for 250,000. A quarter million miles ain't bad for any car.

Snakes Alive!

Yes, those are my kids holding a 12 foot python. It is too heavy for one person to carry, even an adult. I believe it was over 250 lbs if I remember correctly. They were not scared at all. In fact they wanted to buy a snake and take one home. I said no.

Great American Ball Park

Here we are at the Reds Game with a group from our church. The kids had fun, but it was quite hot, somewhere in the 90's for sure. We did beat the Braves though 2-1! I believe the Reds are in first place in their division...for now.

10k complete

Well, I ran my first 10k and I did beat my goal of under an hour. 57:45. Very average, but at least I did it. My two biggest fans were there for me at the finish line. Next time they run with me!

Sharks Rule!

Coaching Sams' soccer team has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had as a parent and a mentor. I'm proud to say we finished our season undefeated and Sam scored a goal. Go Sharks!

This is my Dad.

Pretty cool picture of him. He once told me his favorite book was the adventures of Tom Sawyer. I can see how fitting that is because he is very independent, courageous and smart.
He always wanted do life on his own terms. And he certainly has done that.

I admire my Dad in many ways. He is the closest thing I have to a hero. He probably doesn't realize how much of an influence he has had on my life, but he has.

Just felt like sharing.

More from Ceasers Creek

Warm weather is finally here! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Ceaser Creek = Swimming in May? In Ohio?

Our hiking trip ended with swimming in very very cold water. Actually, everyone swam except for me. I was the smart one.

Sadie in hot pursuit

Sadie sure can run. Here she is in her first game. She played goalie the second half. She stopped 2-3 and didn't let any get in the goal! Go Sadie!

Ohio river, after visiting the aquarium in Newport, Ky

Beautiful location down on the waterfront. The Kentucky side by the landing.

Landlording is FUN!

This is the heartwarming scene that befell me when one of our tenants moved out after not paying rent for three months. Fun times.

And this was after cleaning up for a half day.

On valentines day this is how we ROLL.

No it wasn't 80's night; nor was it 70's night. Huh. Maybe that's why we were getting so many weird looks. Kelly nearly got into a fist fight with a feisty little twerp who would not leave her wig alone. Little sh*$@ was seriously crossing the line. That's ok though. We had a great time. And one we won't soon forget.
